We tested these pizzelle irons in our own kitchens and found the cookies to be very good. Villaware and Vitantonio no longer produce the irons that were an absolute essential item in any respectable Italian kitchen. The Cucina Pro is lighter and easier to store. Overall it is a very nice machine and it makes a great gift! The classic has a polished aluminum cook surface.
